Countrywide Financial, the largest U.S. home lender, said today it will cut up to 12,000 jobs, or 20 percent of its staff, in response to "market conditions."
The Calabasas-based lender said the cuts of 10,000 to 12,000 positions will be made over the next three months, and could be less than expected if interest rates fall [...]
