Countrywide Financial Corp. said today it's drawing on all of a $11.5 billion credit line with 40 banks to supplement its liquidity.
The move is the latest sign that an evaporation in demand for bonds backed by mortgages continues to weigh on lenders. Calabasas-based Countrywide is the largest U.S. home lender.
